Our recent blog posts have looked at the mechanics and history of plastic media blasting, as well as an interview with the owner of American Dry Stripping and Powder Coating. For this post, we are bringing it all together with a video depicting a typical day in a plastic media blast booth. The blasting target is a 1970 Mustang Fastback, stripped down to its metal frame and body. Blasting in this video is primarily done to the frame, floor, and undercarriage, with before-and-after images provided at the end.
Plastic Media Blasting is an economical method of blast cleaning in car restoration work. Contact us for more information about our custom-manufactured PLASTI-GRIT® Plastic Blast Media.
Plastic Sandblasting in the video was completed by American Dry Stripping and Powder Coating in Milford, CT.
