Ted Diamond, founding family member and past President of Composition Materials Co., Inc., received France’s highest military honor on July 3rd, 2015 on his 98th birthday. The Insignia of Chevalier Legion of Honor was awarded to Ted for his service in helping to liberate France in WWII as a combat navigator with the 15th Air Force. Ted flew 50 missions, from December 1943 to August 1944, often leading a group of 28 B-17’s.  Ted and the other 19 award recipients were recognized for their contribution in the effort to free France from Nazi domination. The ceremony took place in New York City.
